Security Officer

Our client is a supplier of quality British beef to foodservice professionals, wholesalers and retailers across the UK and through international trade

Typical Hours of work:

• 48 hours per week
• Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• 6.00pm – 6.00am

Main Duties

• A visual deterrent to theft, damage and other illegal activities by proactively patrolling as well as securing the property when required
• Monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points only permitting entry to authorised personnel
• Reporting loss and damage to our client assignment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• The taking of accurate notes to complete log book entries, incident reports and any other relevant paperwork to a high standard
• The monitoring and access control of property entrances and vehicle gates and barriers – including the control of traffic
• To take effective action in an emergency and co-operate fully with the relevant services
• Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client

Person Specification 

• Be highly motivated
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Have an excellent command of the English language
• Have the ability to present themselves in an extremely professional manner
• Have the highest standards of customer care skills
• Be a team player and very customer orientated
• Be very flexible and available to work unsocial hours including nights, weekends, days

Requirements for the Job

Successful candidates will be required to provide:

Essential;

• Valid SIA Licence
• Five year employment history
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
• Proof of Address – Utility Bills / Bank Statement covering the previous 3 months
