We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to join our marketing department. Working closely with our Marketing Manager, you will create and distribute engaging content, keep our social media channels updated and brand-focused and actively seek out new ways to connect with our audiences. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have a fervid interest in social media, perform well under tight deadlines and seek innovative content solutions. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the key activities and responsibilities of the role are as follows to Coordinate and administer Churchill’s social media channels on a day-to-day basis.

  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, enquiries, and comments.
  • Develop content ideas across all social media platforms and accounts.
  • Assist with planning and executing social media campaigns
  • Assist with generating creative ideas for social first-content including campaign assets, realtime videos and copy.
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy, tone, voice and terminology.
  • Assist in building and managing the social media content calendar.
  • Keep up to date with current trends, topics and hashtags.
  • Work with team members to establish graphics and updates for all profiles including Facebook covers, profile pictures, thumbnails, Instagram story highlights, and other necessary visuals.
  • Engage and grow online communities.
  • Write engaging and targeted copy that is in line with brand standards to inform and engage our audience.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content.
  • Create relevant re-active assets for campaigns, in particular Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels and IGTV.
  • Facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions.
